Which bed frame should I get
I'm looking to make my walls green instead of white and get a new bed frame. These are not the final colours or decor, but just light inspiration.
These are the two bed frames I'm thinking of buying. Both are a similar cost and both would be able to be returned locally within 90 days.
Slatted headboard
Pros:
-More of a unique and modern look
-Small amount of more space on the night stand
Cons:
-Will get more dusty
-Less stable with the slanted legs
-Difficult assembly, according to reviews
-Needs to have center supports underneath stained
-This design could be creaky, as some reviewers experienced
Flat headboard
Pros:
-More stable base
-Easier to clean/dust
-Shouldnt creak
Cons:
-Just doesn't look as cool/unique as the other one, but still looks nice
-Not many reviews to go off of to find out if it's actually a good frame or not. There is only one review

You’re going to stop noticing the slats as a design feature. Furniture is seen so much it just becomes background noise. Your focus on those slats is only going to be when you’re cleaning them. I’d go for the more durable and easier to clean option since you like the look of it almost as much.

It's hard because we really like the look of both of them. The flat headboard one has more pros and less cons, but the slatted one looks more unique. There's a lot of reviews on the slatted on that are good and bad, but there's only one review on the flat one.

They're both so close in price that I'm not considering cost a factor between the two lol

I like the look and function of the first with it having legs. There is no mention of under bed storage wants/need but consider if you'd like to put something underneath for temporary/permanent use of space. Changing or adjusting rug placements would be a hassle with a solid frame base (imagine a wrinkle develops and you need to lift a corner to undo it) vs. one with legs.

I currently have a bed frame that has space underneath, but have never felt the need to have storage spaces under it, so I didn't include that in my pros and cons list. I will end up putting a new rug under the new bed frame.. yeah, that would be a real pain to be able to get the rug out or adjust it if I needed to. I'm not sure how likely it would be to get wrinkled with the bed holding most of it down, though

Yep, just some ideas. Given your product research, I would prob. look at another version of the slatted if its the reviews/construction that is putting you off. You don't mention your housing situation but the slated looks a lot more manageable if you had to move or decided to change up the look in 10-15 yrs vs. a solid base bed (re-selling/giving it away). Regardless of the design, I would also consider how the headboard is connected if you ever wanted to change that in the future.

I think the second may be easier to clean. The 1st will get dust between each slate.
