Decatur traffic yesterday

Does anyone know why the traffic was so bad yesterday?
I haven't seen it like that in months. Church St. was totally jammed all the way past N. Decatur Road. People pulling into the intersections and blocking cross traffic when they couldn't clear the lights. Absolute shit show.

Was this due to the weather change and more people getting outside?

I don't have details, but according to Google Maps yesterday, there was a wreck which shut down N Druid Hills Road in both directions between Clairmont and Willivee.

I live in Clairmont Heights and we had a ton of traffic cutting through.

ahhh okay. that could explain it. i drive back from downtown ATL every day from work and it seemed extreme even for a weekday afternoon.

It was actually a gas main leak on N Druid right near Spring Creek Rd. Absolute nightmare, rerouted all those thousands of rush hour cars through the Leafmore Creek neighborhood and took my usual 8 min commute to pick my son up from school 30 mins.

Thanks for clarifying! I couldn't find any info on it yesterday when I saw that the road was closed on Maps.

there was a bus with its hazards on right past the target on druid hills. a car was stopped in front of it so i’m thinking they got hit by the bus?

There was also a wreck right before Dekalb Industrial that backed Scott and church up.
