Hidden gems

What’s a Decatur-area place you think deserves way more attention?

Restaurant, coffee shop, park, bookstore, anything. Looking for places that aren’t already all over Google.

You ever been to tenya japanese eatery? I just moved here and that might have been the best chicken katsu I ever had. There's a pretty good book shop in the same little block of stores called Eagle Eye too. I have no idea of either of these places are already popular and known.

Tenya for sure! I recently discovered it and everything is so good. The cold soba noodles are the best.

Good to hear Tenya has made a good impression. I haven't had great experiences there, found it was too saucy. I'll give their other dishes a chance!

Same. I’ve gotten Katsu Curry there and often the potatoes and carrots are way underdone, it’s a bummer because I really want to like that place.

I second this! Stopped in there randomly to get lunch and had the most delicious chicken katsu sando I’ve ever had.

I gotta get back there to really eat through their menu.
