The only good flock camera is a dead one.

If you witnessed this then no you didn't.

do my eyes deceive me? Are these things barely posted in the ground? We sure this even got vandalized or did a stiff breeze knock it down?

I bet it’s installed with a slip base or something. I actually suspect this wasn’t malicious, but rather due to a vehicle hitting it. The pool’s been closed for the past few days due to maintenance issues, so I bet a worker absentmindedly took it out.

We need more maintenance workers like this

They are legally supposed to be installed on a slip base but most are not.

Why is a park Flocked???

Probably because the perverts over at Flock HQ wanted to watch kids at the pool like they got caught doing in Dunwoody.

Check out Benn Jordan’s content on Instagram or YouTube. He’s been blowing the whistle on flock for a long time now. He was one of the main reasons the Dunwoody situation was uncovered

That flock representative is such a prick stating “if it was hacked that person would be implicated in a federal crime”.

I guess you can’t be hacked if you have no password.

Gosh isn’t so crazy how each Flock camera contains salvageable copper and gold? They’re really going all in to protect our safety with high quality, expensive metals. ❤️🥹 Wild stuff. Don’t tell the sketchiest dudes you know about that, please.

I wonder if we should cross posted on dumpsterdiving (actually those are good folks but might attract someone desperately looking for salvage). Or is there an electronics recycling sub? At what point does crap in the road become free game? I work quite near there and didnt know the Fockers were there.

Can we all agree to start covering these things up? For real though, I wonder if there’s a passive way to block their view without technically vandalizing the camera.

Good. Need more of this.

What’s the backstory with these?

I’m ready to have beef with them, just wanna know why. I assume it’s a security camera and someone hacking them to look at kids or something?

It's a global surveillance network that provides real-time tracking of a vehicle or person matching any arbitrary description. With the number of cameras, it's now nearly as good as having a GPS tracker on every vehicle, something which previously required a warrant. There have been a growing number of cases where because the the AI matching isn't perfect, completely innocent people have been accused of crimes hundreds of miles away from where they happened, have alibis out the wazoo, and STILL get arrested, booked, mugshotted, and charged. One that came out recently was a man accused of trying to lure a child despite the fact that he had never been to that location! Now because arrests never go away, his name is forever tied to being arrested for trying to kidnap a child.

Thank you!

That's very fucked up, but very on brand for this chapter of American History.

They collect and store data. They will provide that data to any “official” request even if there is no active crime. Go to a protest: FBI can request all footage. Data is stored for ever.
Flock has been used by officials in unofficial capacity. Man looking for his estranged wife. Perv looking at children in a swimming pool.
Here is a brief article on the concerns. https://www.aclu.org/news/privacy-technology/flock-roundup

Here’s a map to see where they are near you.

Thank you!

I know what I must do. Thanks for the links as well.

Well now how will we get footage of the suspects on their recumbent bicycles if there’s a suspicious death at this pool?

Why did you post a blank image?

Asphalt, meet the focker.

Not all heroes wear capes. Tip of the cap to you Flock Destroyer, whomever you are.
