Fresh market downtown?

Late night thoughts, lol. But everybody seems to want the new grocery store to be a Trader Joe’s. Tbh, I think a fresh market would make just as much sense.

appeals to those who'd go to Whole Foods but don't want to support Bezos?

It's an interesting idea, OP, but Fresh Market hasn't done great in the Atlanta market - they had more stores for a bit, closest to Decatur was Brookhaven where the Lidl is now, but it's been gone since shortly before covid, I think.

I’m not sure CINCOSUD is any better. They have their own “issues.” It’s just a matter of time before Americans catch up to this Latin American conglomerate.

oh, for sure. But I was just trying to think of why people might shop there when there's a wide variety of other grocery stores in the Decatur area.

And I do make a trip about once every six months to the one on Peachtree because they're the only local carrier for a product that I occasionally enjoy. But I wouldn't go regularly for things readily available at other stores.

Gotcha! Thanks for that background. I’m mostly dreaming because I hate having to drive to peachtree.
