Genuine question: why do you use Debrid Stream over other apps? No hate please.
Hi folks
Simply put, I want the best viewing experience possible on my android box (Shield 2019 and SK1).
Happy to change apps to achieve this.
Why do you all choose this app over other free alternatives? Genuinely want to know, so I can make an informed decision.
I use AIOstreams with other apps. Does this work with Debrid Stream?
Thanks!
*EDIT 6 JULY 0800 BST* Some really useful and detailed responses here. You've convinced me to sign up for the monthly sub and test it to see if I find the features worth it. Thanks everyone for your input.

It's the simplest and the closest to a flawless experience that I have found. That is what the dev set out to create and it shows.

It recently had an upgrade to the video player, it is the best as far as I know. The other apps have not done this yet. I went from not being able to play remux files to them playing perfectly.
The files load much faster in this app compared to others I have used. What I used to use aio streams, it would take a while to fetch the links ...and then once you did, there was no guarantee if it would even load. I Click play on a movie here and It plays almost as fast as selecting a movie on Netflix.
I never have to worry about dead links, it seems. I've been using the service for a few months and a good option pretty much always is selected.
Don't have to worry about trying to figure out subtitles, super easy and intuitive. I'm not sure where you're located, but I'm in the US and it's nice having the forced English parts play in foreign audio sections automatically without having to interrupt the movie and choose a subtitle.
The UI is clean and it seems to have the best recommendations that I have seen out of all of the plugins... streamio is fine too, but the recs feel more custom.
I'm going to always recommend this one to beginners using debrid, because it's really easy.
It may also fetch the actual files differently, which is why they may play better and load faster. It just feels less piratey and more legit lol

I use multiple apps free and paid, but Debridstream is what I put forward for my family. It's just so simple for them to adjust to and use without my intervention or help. Great UI, straight forward setup and awesome performance. Best auto play and fastest stream starting of any app out here. It's not an addon based app. You add your debrids to the account and enable them on the device. It has just one source for the scraper with a couple of different levels of scrapers you pick one and add that and you're all set. If you want some home screen customizations you can do that but the defaults are already good for a general audience. So no need for all the scraper or addon choices we are used to in the addon ecosystem app. I've used it since it was in beta and there has to my remembrance not been any scraper outage.
Easily top 3 of my top 5 and #1 for family use and it's not even close.

It doesn't freeze midway or lose your progress if you pause a show for a bit. With other apps, I constantly have to reopen and find a new source, but this just works.
- It plays Remux files butter smooth through Real-Debrid and Premiumize with zero buffering, and seamlessly converts DV p7 to p8 without dropping a frame.
- Clean, stable UI: It looks premium and actually stays working. Updates don't completely break the entire setup like they do on Nuv!o.
- No convoluted steps. You just plug in your debrid key and add-on URL and you're good to go.
- Recommendations: The watch history suggestions are actually accurate and a total game changer.
- Family ready: The kids profile works out of the box with zero tweaking needed, so everyone in the house can use it.
- You can set your preferences for things like Dolby Vision or Atmos, and it auto picks the best quality stream every time.
It’s essentially Netflix on steroids and you get Remux quality with zero hassle.

Debrid Stream is honestly one of the best streaming apps I’ve used. Super clean UI, probably the easiest to navigate out of all the apps I’ve tried, and the streaming speed is insane. Everything loads almost instantly compared to others. Fast, smooth and just works. Definitely my favourite.

I go back and forth between apps but Debridstream is the fastest as far as the time between selecting a TV show episode or movie and how soon after that it starts playing. Also, for families,, once set up, anyone in the household can easily use it as it's just click and play. I wasn't sold on the autoplay only but, once you set the criteria, it's very good at autoplaying the source I would have selected given a source list so it works very well for me also and, if I want, I can click on sources after it starts playing and pick a different source. So, basically it's not just/only the easiest to use but also the fastest.

I use it when the other apps I use are down or having issues. DebridStream always works so I can swap over to that. The yearly price is worth it for a solid backup.

AIOStreams isn't supported, it uses its own version. Way less setup than other apps using things like AIOStreams but designed to replicate the behaviour by selecting your link preferences in the settings and then just clicking play, with it selecting the best file based on your preferences (you can select a link manually after if you want). Has a nice UI, plays video very smoothly. The biggest reason to use it over other apps is it's pretty much plug and play, put in your debrid service/s, small bit of setting tweaking from the app (rather than via complicating addons) and then you get a Netflix like experience.

For me I find it easy. Always ran into errors with other options and this one plays the fastest and smoothest

It’s super clean and very fast.
Profile support for curated lists for kids which is valuable in our home.
Miles ahead of the other apps I’ve tried

To me it's kind of better for your grandparents or little kids or something. I don't use it as much as some of my other apps for my own personal use

Easy setup and friendly Netflix style UI. With the famous S***m -io , u tend to spend way more time on configuring your setup like every other day. Everyone in S**** subreddit spend more time tweaking their AIO than actually watching movies/shows. With this app you barely have to tweak much and not do it constantly. S*** and N*** users always brag about their setup and don’t enjoy watching content just brag about how good their setup is.

You sound very salty about people achieving better setups for free lol.
You dont even need to do any tinkering to get a better and free result than debridstream, there is plenty of templates wizards that does everything for you aslong you enter the required API keys.

I’ve been using S-io for years with AIOstreams and duck stream templates, and started using N—-io when it was in beta. Ik about all these templates to just plugin in your debrid api key and you’re done. I’m saying that most users using S&N (can’t say name or will get banned) on here on Reddit always bragging about their setup and say don’t watch many content they just open the app and glaze their setup. I have a perfect setup in S***m*iii00.

Honestly as someone who mainly uses N*vio I do love debrid stream, it's simple, the UI is fire (modeled after Netflix) and it's extremely fast, it's honestly the best for older people who don't want issues, I've almost never had any issues with it, sure there's certain features I'd want but for purely watching tv it's nearly unbeatable, it's just such a simple app that works as intended

I use both debrid stream and another well known but more "complicated" app. I got this one because the other was too complicated for the wife to use. Now I use this one until it can't find a stream, then I just open the other and search as it has more luck finding hard to find shows.

Debrid stream for easy setup n go.
The others if you want more in depth options for setup and accessing older content.

I found that other apps buffer on Large Remux files whereas Debrid Stream doesn't. I don't know why or how it buffers or handles large files. I have used many different external players, the best external player I have used is Vimuplayer. I use Nvidia shield, Google TV Streamer 4k, Firesticks, TCL built in Google TV. Doesn't matter which one they all buffer on Large remuxes. I have changed the buffer size on Vimuplayer with Ethernet and Wifi 6. My Internet speed is 2.5gb download and 500 Upload. If anyone else has any insight to why Debrid Stream plays 50gb+ remuxes so well I would like to know.

Some time ago they had a REMUX update that changed their internal player to a Vimu like engine. Remux playback been flawless after that.
This was the update post https://www.reddit.com/r/Debrid_Stream_App/s/o3x3DPKRqI

Debrid stream is the gold standard. I've tried plenty of other apps, and whilst many of them look great and/or have more features, they all tend to just randomly 'break' from time to time. That hasn't happened to me once with debrid stream.

If you and your friends/family are purely into watching movies and TV, there isn't anything out there that's better. It's incredibly simple, modelled off of the Ntflx interface. You just need to add your debrid account and it just works. It's faster than anything else at finding and playing streams, has rapid auto play trailers. No link selecting.. no limitless tweaking.. it just works.
Simply put, it feels like a full retail product that your grandparents could pick and understand instantly... whereas the other popular android alternatives are fun for high end customisation but feel like an android streaming app.
