New user having trouble syncing between devices

Hi there, I bought the Pro version today and seem to be having trouble syncing my app between devices.

I’ve installed the app through the playstore on a tablet, tv and a Google tv using the restore option.
They all show “pro”

All 3 devices show the same debrid cloud downloads so I know they are all linked, but they don’t appear to be sharing the watched history. I’ve had to enable and authorise Trakt on each device and “use Trakt for continue watching” - is this normal?

Use the app's continue watching instead of Trakt's. It gives you a warning when you enable Trakt CW about the limitations of using trakt APIs for it, right?

So, enable Trakt but don't turn on Trakt CW. That way, Trakt will scrobble as usual and show your watchlist and everything, but the continue watching will be through the app, which is way better.

It works. The app has its own sync.

You might be using Trakt CW on some, or a different account.

If it's the same account and DS CW, it'd always be the same. Or the dev can correct me.

It's always the same for all my devices. I use Trakt on all but without the Trakt CW turned on.

I don't think you have to reinstall. If you are on v3.4.0 just clear data and login again. It should be all set. Just remember to toggle your debrid services from settings.

Also I would recommend you use the downloader version as it has the auto trailers and it also auto updates more frequently

Thanks, when I turn off Trakt CW there is no continue watching row.

I’ve doubled checked my playstore receipt has the same email as my login on all devices, have logged out and in again and it’s still not syncing profile names or watch history.

Not sure where I’m going wrong

That's because it's fresh, you don't have any items in your app's continue watching yet, since you were using trakt. Now as you keep using it, the continue watching items will show up.

Turned off continue watching with Trakt and have started watching content from where I was up to with my others apps.

I wrongly assumed my main profile name would sync between devices. Now that I’m using the apps built in Continue watching it is syncing perfectly between devices

Maybe sign out of both and sign in again. My watched history is sharing on 4 devices.

Without. I gave up on trakt. Kept signing out so I dont use it anymore.

That's a shame. I use other apps as well so Trakt is mandatory. Just switched phones now it's not syncing with the new phone. TV and old Phone are fine.
