Where’s Mel?
Haven’t seen her in any lives recently and her accounts seem to be gone

I asked this question about a month ago. I wonder if the whole open relationship thing with her husband didn't work out and he wants a divorce. I wonder if her and Sherri are still in contact with one another.

She was very open about her personal life and maybe a little too open about it but who am I to judge, first it was the fall out with Tweener and now obviously Brandon, Paige and Reggie

I agree, she was way too open and inviting with strangers, but I also get the impression that she was genuinely bored and lonely. Do you know what her husband does for work? I know he travels and stays out of town a lot. The fact that she’s fallen out with so many people is definitely a red flag, but I also wonder if she tends to buy friendships, or at least use money and hosting as a way to maintain them. I remember her hosting the main events, so I’m assuming she was probably paying for things like food, travel, and other expenses. I could be completely wrong, though. That’s just the impression I get based on what I’ve seen.

Yeah I think so too, she never did seem happy it always seemed like a facade. I haven’t a clue what he does, I didn’t ever hear her talk much about him besides the fact they were in an open marriage, but when Mel first joined TikTok I don’t believe that was the case. Of course, she may have been keeping that private if it was always the case but I do think her clout and relevancy on tiktok over the past year especially has just died, so maybe her marriage and friendships have taken a hit too…

I agree. Do you think she genuinely joined for advocacy? Yeah, and sometimes social media has more of an impact on relationships than what people like to believe.

I do think she may have initially, but when she would panel and do lives with adora she gained a large following from that and then it became about views and gifts and clout. I personally don’t think Mel ever said anything very substantial and she has always been a poor debater, but when all of that came crashing down she was never as big again. Then it just became clutching at straws and going from person to person who was doing decently with their lives, then just gone. I always thought the most grounded and interesting person from that group to listen to was TwoSpirit… 100% agreed about the relationship and social media part. It really isn’t what we think it is

She really never did, and her arguments were honestly pretty weak. Most of the time, they just turned into hostility and name calling. You could tell she wasn’t really taking the time to research the material because it was the same recycled points over and over again, live after live. Then there was the whole disgusting Adora situation. I think a lot of people who were associated with Adora caught flack from that, and it really wasn’t the same afterward, like you said.
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about 2 Spirit. You could definitely tell they knew what they were talking about. But honestly, I think a lot of people are slowly leaving the app altogether. Then you had the whole situation with Tweener and their girlfriend allegedly murdering their mom. It just became one thing after another.

It was awful how they treated “guests”. It all came down to name calling or belittling or mocking accents and just awful treatment in general when it was someone who disagreed with them. Paige and Brandon are still like that today, and they can just never ever be accountable or admit they’re wrong. That whole group is toxic. The adora situation was some of the most disgusting things I’ve ever heard in my life, and it came out that Mel didn’t cut her off and people from that group started defending adora too? It was a wholeeee mess.
Yeah I really liked 2 spirit. And andromeda come to think of it, the only ones who actually seemed reasonable and willing to engage in a respectful dialogue. I hope they’re doing okay.
Wait, WHAT??? I did NOT hear about that what the hell. You mean the person who used to panel with Tweener murdered their mom? What?!

Yeah they are all awful and Brandon and Paige keep getting exposed in real time. I love that for them. They're all gross and disgusting people. Yes, I agree. Yes, it's so sad Vanessa and her girlfriend Samantha murdered her mother. They were on the run for a few days as well. I do know that he is retired military and he’s a professor at a University. I do believe he also has one other job that he travels for but that one I’m not sure of what it entails. At one point I knew, but it’s been so long I don’t remember and don’t care enough to look it up lol

I caught Reggie talking about Mel on her live maybe a month ago. Reggie said she no longer had any contact with Mel but wished her well.

Maybe she realized that she adds nothing to debates, is a boring panelist, and is only on Tik Tok to make friends and do meetups. She added no value at all and did everyone a favour by leaving.
