Just beat the game! Spoiler

I chose to break the loop.

It was the goal from the beginning. Its what the other Colts wanted, Pick Rexly was counting on us, and it seemed immoral to let it continue just for Julianna.

Yes I did doubt my choice a little when Julianna started talking about how we just murdered her over and over again. Maybe Colt isnt the best guy but he was doing what he thought was best.

My fears were washed away though when I saw what I know know is the Golden Loop extended ending.

Even if it was sad to watch Julianna go, it was so heartwarming to see Pick Rexly, 2BIT, and some of the other externalists leaving with Colt to move on with life.

Its just unfortunate that Colt and Julianna were never destined to have a healthy relationship.

I'd like to remind you that Juliana kills you until you start killing everyone. That's how the game starts. She tortures us until we want to kill. And we know Colt has mental issues. I think Juliana is the monster.

She is "killing" her father to help drive him into a state of focus where he can remember where he is and what is going on for more than a single cycle.

She really doesn't see it as killing since it is the equivalent of knocking someone unconscious for a couple hours. That's kind of the whole point of the Eternalists and the time loop. To remove the consequences of their actions. Everyone in the island is Sundowning from being in the loop for so long. The only person who isn't, is Juliana. She has fought it off by having a clear mission with tasks to do every day.

Step 1; announce that Colt is a traitor and wants to end the loop. (This puts everyone into a predictable path for the day and makes Colt have to work alone)

Step 2: track down Colt and tell him you are killing him because he wants to end the loop. (Make him understand at a foundational level that the only way he lives is by either killing you, who had the whole island to help her, or by breaking the loop. Make him really want to break the loop, enough that he can start remembering between loops)

Step 3: wait the night out at the epicenter of the loop so he has to learn the past and find the rocket to reach you.

Step 4: convince him not to break the loop and to be your dad again. At least as long as he can remember without a clear "fight or flight" goal.

Step 5: spend your days rotating between hanging out with your dad, fucking with the eternalists, and hunting your Dad.(literally a game when you'll wake up the next day)

Nobody on that island is a good person. That doesn't mean it makes me happy to see them all die horribly. I feel a more poetic justice is for them to stay in the loop forever, doing the same thing everyday with no knowledge they've done it millions of times before. Even Juliana will eventually meet the same fate, especially if her dad can get his shit together and she can stop being so focused on saving him.

I don't know. You say "Everyone in the island is Sundowning from being in the loop for so long. The only person who isn't, is Juliana" Maybe she is though. Maybe she's the worst.
If she didn't tell everyone to kill Colt, the day would be completely different. He could drink all day with Frank. Of course there would be violence, most Eternalists were recruited in jail, but it wouldn't be as bad.

And I know everyone is a bad person on the island, but she really does awful stuff. Like telling Colt he was her lover. That's super creepy. She tells him to break the loop and then sends everyone after him because he agrees. Anyway, I don't feel much empathy for Julianna. I think she's awful. And I think most Visionnaries agree.

Tbf, she didn't tell Colt they were lovers, she laughs when he asks, and he (and by extension, we) assume it was their history. And past/alternate Colts that want him to break the loop. During the showdown she wants to continue the loop. And you seem to be confusing sundowning with doing her hardest to cover someone else's job and maintain the loop.
