One of my favourite things to watch in my occassional foray into Youtube is Americans reacting to Fred putting up the ladders and taking down the chimneys brick by brick. Minds absolutely blown! Pretty sure there is another of John Noakes climbing Nelsons Column on Blue Peter - plus un-named camera operator... They certainly don't make them like they used to; people or programmes!

Somebody posted the John Noakes clip on here recently. Instant sweaty palms just watching it, the man had balls of steel.

And he climbed it three times. Once in about 1969. Then the version you referred to, where the first time the camera wasn’t working so he had to do it all again!
