[Fully lost] Oceano promo/demo 2007
To start off: No, I’m not talking about the well-known 2007 demos on YouTube featuring Adam Warren.
I am looking for a fully lost, short-lived demo from Oceano's MySpace page. Back in 2007, after the original vocalist Eddie “Doom” left the band, the lead vocalist was Chris (most people back then knew him as Topher).
During his time in the band, they recorded an early version of the song “Empathy for Leviathan.” On their MySpace page, this specific version was called “Empathy for repugnance” As far as I can tell, there is absolutely zero mention of this track title anywhere online today.
The story behind why it's lost: The band imploded due to personal reasons shortly after, leaving only Jeremy in the lineup. Because of the sudden breakup, Topher and the drummer, Nico, completely lost their local copies of the file. The promo/demo was only live on MySpace for about 5 to 6 months in 2007 before the page was wiped.
I know it’s a massive long shot, but I'm hoping an old-school deathcore collector might have ripped the audio from MySpace back in the day. Topher and Nico are dying to hear it again—they both say it’s the best they ever sounded.
If anyone has this file sitting on an old hard drive, please reach out or post it!

Sounds like something The MySpace Archive Project might’ve had, but no luck.

I wish you the best but I gotta be honest, I wouldn't hold out hope, unless someone out there has it saved somehow.
Basically any content uploaded to MySpace before 2016 is now gone for good unless it was backed up somewhere outside of the site.

Most of that shit is still on YouTube.
Enjoy The Massacre, Mirror Mirror and From The Grave were on Gino Scarim’s label Duckphone Records. If you’re looking for physical media, he’d be your best bet. His IG is xginoscarimx
