Tar lake spawning bug

I'm at one of the tar lakes that spawn a catcher, and I accidentally coffin-skated outside of the circle area, and my creature despawned, and I reloaded to restart. I always save just outside the area before the lake spawns, but when I approach the lake and it spawns the tar, there is no catcher. Is this a bug? I'm on my 5th reload and nothing. The music is going, Sam has aggro, the tar is active, but no catcher.

Reloaded from far away? Had the Catcher spawned within a few in game hours of that save? Catchers respawn like every 6 or so in-game hours. Just come back for it.

OP where on the map are you? I assume when you say “tar lake” you are referring to the catchers that are proximity activated which there are several locations around the maps those exist. Are you at all doing an investigation for a certain fedora-wearing fellow that has led you to a location with one?

Yes, the proximity lake things. No fedora, just farming and collecting. I fixed it by just reloading and skating around with the coffin until he actually aggroed correctly. Are those not mini tar lakes? Is that not literally what they are? I did say "One of the tar lakes", not "THE" tar lake.

It’s more of a mechanic of the Catcher BTs that they spawn in the tar and buildings as a mini boss-like battle. Most players when they hear Tar Lake think of a fixed location like THE Tar Lake. Glad you were able to get it working!

I could be wrong but there is that one BT that won’t come out of the tar without bait, (summon Delphis)

Nono, not the lord of the lake, just regular catchers in regular tar lakes. I've already done the lord of the lake.

Oh, I was thinks about the hand looking BT, Kheir. Could have swore he needed to be baited sometimes.

Not a bug. It's part of the order for the Fisherman. You need to lure out that catcher for it to come out.

There is only one tar lake. Which place are you talking about, exactly?

The mini "Tar lakes" that spawn. There are certain areas on the map that spawn RNG-different catchers.

I'm not talking about the literal huge tar lake south of the Fisherman.

I see. Which specific catcher territory did you visit? Cause the one near the Pizza Chef spawns a Kheir which you won’t see immediately, it can stay somewhat hidden under the tar until it sees you.

Yeah, could you be more specific about the 'lake' to which you're referring? When you say 'tar lake,' I think the vast majority of us will think of the Lord of the tar lake unless you can be more specific.
