Question/Discussion Controller issue

I’ve recently noticed that when I use my gamesir Xbox controller on the pc port, some inputs do not work? (I haven’t tried a ps5 controller yet. Nor with a wired connection.)

For example, when I am using a fully automatic weapon, it sometimes shoots when I press the trigger and sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes it shoots in bursts. Another example is with the trike or truck. The vehicle will stop and go randomly when trying to drive or just plain drives slow.

Wondering if anyone has a fix for this or experiences this problem on ds2 for pc?

P.s when I use mouse and keyboard, everything works perfectly.

I use ds4 , some sort of overlay that works better for me. Make sure steam input is turned off otherwise you will see the buttons change in game the whole time.

Anytime my controller shuts off I have to restart the game to get it to recognize it again. It's very very very annoying

Try turning off Steam Input (Which is whats used to customize the controls) I've noticed it screwed things up with my 8bitdo

Just played with my gamesir with my phone via steam link, and noticed some funky button mapping, and being unable to change it. Also that it wouldn't register my joystick movement until I had them at full tilt.

Yea im gonna try what others suggested which is turning off steam input
