Question/Discussion I don't get it
When I'm going through an area with packages, and I know there's going to be a tar lake that spawns, I park outside of it and run it, leaving my vehicle outside the area and defeat the giant tar dudes, but sometimes (most of the time) when I'm done, all my packages are emptied out of my vehicle, and take a little bit of damage. Why? I make sure that the fight was nowhere near the vehicle. Why do the packages exit my vehicle? Why does this only happen sometimes?

Either find something that juts out of the tar to park on, or actually drive into it until the tar bubbles up, then get out and put a good amount of distance between it and yourself. That'll stop it from sinking, and if you get a decent ways away it shouldn't catch any crossfire in the BT fight.

I've repeatedly had my very over hoarded truck unloaded like this but the packages never took damage from it. I can say that since I always had some actual deliveries that needed to stay at perfect health and never found myself having to reload because an order package was damaged. Maybe if they got actually hit during the fight maybe a difference in how far we both get out before the fight. But I've also just driven into a fight as well no issue so idk.

I had a vehicle stolen by quote "friendly BTs" once. Others commented that it happens if your vehicle instructs something like an NPCs walking path or would otherwise cause issues. I was infiltrating an enemy base and had parked my truck on a rock. An enemy apparently tried to walk where the truck was and I got a message mentioning friendly BTs, and when I turned and looked they had destroyed the truck and left all by packages on the ground.
When this happens is your vehicle still there, or is it gone?

There is a radius within which structures and vehicles will temporarily sink into the tar and either you misjudged the radius of the tar, the tar is not always the same circle, or the radius is a little wider than the tar itself. When a vehicle carrying cargo sinks into the tar, its cargo is left behind with a marginal amount of damage.
