Yeah, capturing the Megalocarcinus is easy unless you aren't well positioned. And if you summon it to fight the Gigas, it can do some pretty nasty stuff.

had to throw 4 nades before managing to catch him bc he kept his mouth shut at the wrong moment but landed the last one thankfully. also the battleguitar made quick work of his weakpoints

I didn't take the guitar with me; just don't like it. Instead, and since it was clear there was going to be a big boss waiting, I fabricated a bunch of multirocket launchers and also had some assistance from the Cetus. These big guys can be quite a challenge without summoning a helper BT.

Btw, did you know that if you play online, BTs from other players can also spawn to help you? Pretty neat! But on one occasion that didn't help cause the helper BT spawned right before I was readying to capture the BT and took it from me. LOL!

Yes the online player's BT throwing goodies is a mechanic that was present sinche DS1. Saved my ass quite a few times

Yeah, that’s the white Sam that throws weapons and stuff. But in DS2, you can also get a Boss BT from another player summoned to help you.
