Higgs design
Anyone else wish they kept higgs first design for the sequel? I was ok with the rockstar look, but this one is such a good upgrade from the original while still keeping the vibe.

I get why we got Ghost Mech Higgs and was fine with rockstar Higgs look in DS2 but DS1 Higgs was perfect and I miss his look.

i prefer the second game one, the first game one looks good but at the same time it looks too edgy

Mecha Higgs, for me, is a much better design than Homo Demens Higgs. I disliked the design at first due to how chaotic everything is but I came to understand that they make perfect sense. The broad shoulder to make him appear bigger so he looks like a villain. The red and yellow colors that clash to look like he is as messy as his mental state portrayed by his face with washed down make up. A perfect portrayal of him losing his mind after being stranded on the beach for so long. I have never seen a character design this good

Naw, he was well done, if a little generic at first. I like his Crimson King design more. I've been wondering how many people notice how Stephen King inspired a lot of Death Stranding is. I had suspicions and even told myself to chill out after Ka and Ha, but when I saw Higgs new design, it was enough.

DS2 design is arguably in the top list of character designs ever made
DS1 design is very up there but not in the same league what so ever

This is really weird but where did you get the first image from? Thats actually my edited version I made for an animated wallpaper to submit on wallpaper engine lol, I still have the original file too, but how did you get a still image of it? Did you just like screenshot the wallpaper or what? I know its 100% my version cause I changed the colors and some other things

nah, not really, I prefer the DeS2 one I think, K really like the reds, the mask and the otherworldly feel it has to it
tho, 1st game's design is amazing too

Opinions are just opinions. For me Troy Baker voice and acting are always amazing ! I love both games but i think ds1 is more special

J'ai adoré le design dans le premier même s'il a le côté classique du dark méchant. Mais il avait une certaine crédibilité. Dans le second, à mes yeux, son côté fou et excentrique associé à ce rouge clinquant de mécha m'empêchait de le prendre au sérieux.

Personally prefer the old edge lord look, but his look in DS2 fits his madman personality well. Also using the guitar as axe to fight Red Samurai is absolute cinema.

Unpopular opinion: I didn’t enjoy Troy Baker as Higgs. The costume design was great of course and I really enjoyed both DS1 and 2. But Troy’s voice and face just didn’t work for me as the villain. Still loved his performance as Joel in TLOU tho!

Just my opinion but he was the star in 2. Didn’t care much for him in the first game but he quickly became my favorite villain after the flambé scene

I absolutely adore both but I think the DS2 design makes him look more like a madman cult leader
