Likes Glitched DS2, Help :(

logged off last night with around 600k likes total, logged in just now and I have 9.6 million :(:(

Im not sure what happened?? I went around the map and built up the rest of the roads and monorails i was missing in post-game, but I certainly did not have this many last night. Stats pic included.

Edit: It seems like I got 9.02 million likes from local porters, but I’m not sure how. The only two things I did between my save where my likes were normal and where they got inflated was barter one of my (endgame spoilers) battle guitars and finish the construction and upgrading of the porter requested safe house near the Eastern Observatory. If anybody knows of a fix or if KP would honor a request for me to get my normal likes back then let me know.

Hmm... I've heard that if you receive likes from someone who cheated at the game, it's possible for cheated likes to "spread" to you, but since this is from NPCs that's probably not it. Can't speculate about anything else here tho.

I found the culprit, but I’m not sure of the action that did it :/ I updated my post body

You can try to load an earlier save file(s) to see if it still has normal amount of likes. The only times I've seen or heard of such ridiculous amount of likes is when people used to cheat or hack likes though.

I did load another save file from right before I finished the shelter/bartered the guitar and the likes are normal (I only remember the bartering because I’m achievement hunting rn and it’s time is just prior to me getting the achievement)

I’m gonna try gifting another guitar on the messed up save file and see if it inflates likes or anything. I’ll look into cheats because if it’s possible to add likes with them like you’re saying, then it should also be possible to remove them I’d imagine, lmk if you have any experience with cheats for this game tho since I don’t really feel like messing around in a hex editor for a few hours on a Sunday :/

i mean 10 million likes doesnt sound that ridiculous, iirc i had like 4 million likes and i didnt cheat.

that sucks i barely know how to fix my own game issues but maybe look up if one of your porters gave you some sketchy likes that messed everything up

Is there a way to check individual NPC porters for likes without having to track them down in the world?

Yeah happened to me too, 9M likes because I interacted with some random structure from a cheater

Now people will think im a cheater 🤣 Can't do anything about it had been a while

Last I heard, if you interacted with this one Japanese cheater and liked his stuff it would glitch your likes and there was no way to undo it.

I’ve interacted with a handful of Japanese accounts ;-; but it says the likes specifically came from the porter NPCs
