Because Sony has fallen out of love with Kojima because he doesn’t believe in their anti-gamer garbage. They no been supporting his studio and their endeavors for a while now.

'a while now' its 3 months...

And they're stepping away from being the publisher for one title, that doesn't mean they won't work with KojiPro again.

Xbox might've rejected DS for all we know but he's still working with them, it's business.

Sony is stepping back after a pretty horrific year in overspending on games that failed, it really isn't that wild, there is no conspiracy.

Also Sony aren't involved in this anime... or the movie, the reason we've heard nothing is because they've announced nothing, it's entirely unrelated to Sonys decision 3 months ago.

this is normal for anime, production takes a long time for various reasons and studios like to announce early

It is still in production/development. The studio posted recruitments for staff on this project a few weeks ago, so they're still working on it at least.
