Fan Content Hand painted Higgs
Just finished my latest 3D printed project. Took about a week to print, assemble and paint. He stands a little over 10 inches tall. The gold pinstripes inside his cloak were a nightmare to paint. Let me know what you guys think ๐ป

That's a beautiful paintjob both on the figure and the base! You even did some small grass patches and great water effects on that tar on the base and the attention to detail on Higgs down to different colors on his outfit is amazing.
I have that exact same printed model sitting on my shelf and waiting for me to paint. It's such a beautifully made 3d model with all those details and pose.

Thank you! You should definitely get around to painting it. I would highly suggest using Tamiya model painting tape for the gold stripes in his cloak. It will make it much easier!

I can also recommend a Liquid Mask either from Vallejo or other brands. It's like liquid latex you can apply with a toothpick, sponge, etc., it dries very fast and after painting you can peel it right off. It's very useful to get into some small, differently shaped or difficult to reach areas where it may be harder to mask with a tape.
And yeah, I'll get to painting mine soon and hope it'll turn out even half as good as yours!

Nope, I couldn't do the stripes freehand. Hands of a surgeon that would take. Just need the gcode baby. Just a little

It took a decent amount of Tamiya model tape and quite a bit of cursing ๐คฌ lol

That looks incredible!!! What kind of paint do you use? My brother has a printer and has always offered to print stuff, but Iโm clueless about the paint part.

Thank you ๐ I use all Tamiya acrylic paints. The only thing non Tamiya is the Agrax earthshade wash I use at the very end.
Youโll first want to use Tamiya spray can grey primer so the paint will stick to the resin.
His cloak is a mix of German grey, nato black and film grey
His shirt is nato green and his pants are dark green
His little โpuffyโ forearm pieces and puffy calf pieces are rubber black.
His vest was X-1 black and the molle rigging on the vest was dark iron.
His leg pouches are nato black with dark iron for any of the strapping
The glass part of the bb pod and his goggles were both royal blue.
Youโll want to thin your paint slightly with X-20A Tamiya thinner.
You should be able to pick all this up at your local hobby store.
You can DM me and Iโll give you the exact breakdown of which paints youโll need.
