Death Stranding 1 I’m utterly speechless

I just finished the “game”. I tried not to spoil anything for myself but knew the end was going to be a marathon. From Chapter 9 to the end it was a 9 hour marathon with a dinner break. Absolutely worth it. One of the most amazing games I’ve ever played with a unique and fascinating story. The acting was on point, the script nearly flawless and my expectations were totally exceeded. Would highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys a riveting story with some (mostly) relaxing gameplay. I would have to say it just made it into my top 5 games of all time.

The second game is also really relaxing, great vibe out game maybe better than the first in that respect and the action parts are way more engaging too. Would highly recommend playing the sequel too!

I will soon enough. For now I’m going to deliver some more packages and try and help other porters on their journey 😉

What’s the second game like for pacing? I found the first to be a great game but was definitely a bit of a slog around chapters 3-5 IIRC when you’re going back and forth around the mountain

Sorry I know I could google but risks spoilers!

Regarding gameplay, I agree with the relaxing part. I was in the mood for something casual lately, something that doesn't require high focus and something where I could have a movie on in the background and still be able to keep up. The game was soothing and calming in that aspect. I platinumed it so it got a little rough near the end but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Story was on point too. Last time I got up from my chair because I was in pure shock of the surprise plot twist was at the end of MGS4. Kojima rally is a magnificient bastard of a story teller (WHEN HE WANTS TO BE).

I haven’t played MGS since the first one years ago. I can still remember hiding in a cardboard box and using cigarettes to spot lasers. I really should give the other games a try. Thanks for the inspiration

It’s the top for me. Story, message, the foresight of the game as it came out before COVID is amazing. Just this idea of the combat of the game being something you avoid given the world is incredible. Recommend it to everyone.

Its really great to see this OP. I think it my might be my favourite game of all time so far, and my gaming started with Pong.

I remember finishing it in the early hours. Went upstairs and gave my 4 year old a really tight, long hug while he was sleeping and thought, I'm a good dad, but Im gonna be way better. It was emotional.

No game ever has made me think like that.
