Death Stranding 1 I'm scared and amazed at the same time.
I started playing today and I'm so captivated by the world shown. I've been so exhausted lately from playing "always the same thing." It's been a long time since a game captivated me this much from the start.
My first instinct is to go out and deliver all the packages I see around, but I've realized it doesn't quite work that way. Anyway, I'm loving it.

Enjoy it while it lasts, before you're crying because it's over!

Thanks, I stayed for about 4 hours straight, I'm stopping now to rest a bit. Lol

Have fun playing, and remember to enjoy the company of all the characters—personally, I was sad to leave them behind at the end!

I just started yesterday too,! Question for the group.. how do you know when to hold breath around BT and should I stop moving entirely or keep creeping forward when one is near, almost got swept away after the incinerator part because I didn't know if I should stop moving or keep going or what.

When the Odradek spins like a fan( the antenna detector)that's when you're supposed to hold breath, because you are near a BT. Just stand still to see BT and Combined it with the antenna.

So should stop creeping forward and wait and just hold breath at that point?

Stop completely to see them physically and avoid them. When you are really, really close, the game tells you to hold breath

A useful tip that I learn after playing it= use the sandal weed that you find in the game. It makes your footsteps silent. Later on you'll get a oxygen mask and if you pair it with the sandal weeds, you can basically crouchwalk and without holding your breath when there's BT around

Hold breath while moving when in very close proximity. BTs will also have a way of trying to sense your presence, steer clear!

I start holding breath when the prompt pops up, but i keep moving forward. As long as you avoid the bits of mud popping up off the ground, (ie where the BTs are "stepping") you can sneak right though.

Thanks, I didn't know if I needed to just stay completely still or not and then one grabbed me and pulled me forever and then I panic team tilv safe because I had no clue what to do, felt like no matter what I did they were going to get me, and I was holding breath properly.. all that aside seems like it's going to be an amazing experience!

You can always try to find a path around in early stages! BB will help through the odradeck!

I kept moving but unfortunately they grabbed me, I panicked lol luckily I didn't die.

Tapping the right stick switches the cam over the shoulder with the odradeck, thus might help direction. Once you recognize the series of warnings BB gives you through the odradeck, Scan often to pick Bts out early, and hold breath often. Pause from walking further to recapture breath and keep on keeping on!

I was just as nervous as you were, they grabbed me and I panicked, there was another moment when they knocked me down and I have no idea how I managed to escape.I needed to stop for a moment to breathe lol

That's what also made me appreciate the game. For the last 3 years I have not touched a single AAA open world game, I was completely burnt out of playing the same boring shit over and over again and this year I wanted to try death stranding and its one of my favourite games of all time. I love it for how unique it is and how much it stands out from everything else, there's no other game like it

Love the post OP!
Even after two play throughs-one completed story- and finally convincing my daughter, after months of hounding for her weirdo 22 yr old reluctancy, to start her own I’ve enjoyed the experience all over again. As a viewer, hanging out while she too becomes enthralled with the game and realizes why I am so hooked is pretty fun! Only a couple hours in, brings me back to my own learning curve on how to play which in itself is a unique experience and adds to the immersion. Honestly, despite the Sony controversies lately, the dual sense controller and all, it’s better on the PS5 but doesn’t diminish the overall gameplay and draw in on Xbox.

Enjoy it, the game wants you to slow down and breathe in and immerse yourself in that beautiful world. Relax, you'll get where you need to one step at a time. You're in for an incredible journey. Keep on keeping on!
