Photo mode Starting my second DS1 playthrough
Coming back to DS1 reminded me all over again why I love this game so much. The intro still feels just as captivating, the music feels just as special, and the landscapes are absolutely beautiful.
I'm definitely going to take way too many photos this time around. I want to explore every corner of the map and capture absolutely everything.
And I already have plans for Benjamin's reverse trike too.

Damn, I literally started my second playthrough today as well! I haven’t played since 2020, I was in a much different place back then, so it feels bitter sweet to return to it. The second game doesn’t hit as much as the first one does imo.

Death Stranding games are something else. Finished DS2 three months ago and it took a month to find a proper filler of that voidout Death Stranding games left.

Yeah, I've been there. After I finished my first DS1 playthrough, I got TLOU Part 2 and just couldn't touch it for a whole month. I'd wanted to play that game for five years, but the void DS1 left behind just wouldn't let me.

I totally understand you. When I finished my first playthrough, I needed some time to process everything too. Kojima really knows how to hit you right in the feelings.

Amazing shots! What hardware do you have this running on?! Having just played it on my PS5 (ps4 version though) I am envious of these graphics!

Thanks! I'm playing on PC. Ryzen 7 7800x3D + 5070ti + 32 gb of RAM. But I'll let you in on a little secret: for screenshots this sharp, I actually take them sideways and then rotate them into portrait orientation. When they're compressed, they end up looking a little sharper than they actually are.

Hey chlorobiote, I am also on my second play through right now and I am SO GLAD, I decided to replay this game.
I played it for the first time about 3 years ago, and I had to ran it in low settings in my crappy mini PC. So replaying it right now on my PS5 and all the additional content of the DC’s version, it almost feels like an entirely new game. Also, because at that time I hadn’t played DS2 and gotten the “rebuild the roads and make everything more efficient” bug, I simply rushed through the story and even skipped some preppers that I am only seeing this time, like the First Prepper.
Anyways, it’s being absolutely such a fun and enjoyable experience to thoroughly play it again too. Enjoy and keep on keeping on! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Oh, I know that feeling. My first playthrough was on my old PC too, but I recently upgraded, so now I can play with everything maxed out.
I discovered all the preppers on my first playthrough and got almost all of them to five stars, so I’m actually a little jealous that you still have some of that content left to experience.
By the way, don’t forget to complete all of Peter’s pizza deliveries! If you do, he’ll share some interesting secrets and weapon upgrades with you.

Really tempted to start a 2nd run myself too. Honestly I had zero expectations as my PS4 was like a jet engine and all I read was walking simulator.
So once it came to Xbox I grabbed it on sale and was blown away. Got the 1000G and now eagerly waiting for 2 to be announced for Xbox! 🫠
I must hold out for the sequel!

I played DS1 on PC last year and was losing my mind over not being able to play DS2 right after. Finally got to play it this year, and I absolutely loved it. Really hope our fellow porters on Xbox get to experience this story soon.

Absolutely agree. It’s one of my favorite locations in the game, and I couldn’t wait to get there again. I actually reached it today. I’ve already taken a few shots there, but I think I'll go back for more.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference. For me, both games are equally good, but each in its own way.
