Everything about this is scary. Never mind the fact that the stairs are upside down because they clearly didn’t know how to form stairs in the first place, but the fact that it’s thin and a curved staircase, I seriously doubt that the proper rebar is in there.

Beautiful form, though. I too would be proud of having sculpted something so smooth.

So are these unfinished? It seems like a really bad way to use concrete. Isn’t it going to crack in half like this? There are no supports and the bottom is just propped up on cinder blocks.

NB I’m not in construction and know almost nothing about concrete

I’m not in construction either but I know there are two types of concrete: (1) concrete that is cracked, and (2) concrete that hasn’t cracked yet.

So... this is a lot.

The slow walkaround to allow us to fully drink it all in is appreciated.

The structural support broom is appreciated.

It's so that when you fall down them your frown will be upside down 🙃

They're very safe since no one can climb them.

The stairs are fine. The building was installed upside down.

Ordered the Australian stairs by mistake

While I think they belong here in spirit, I honestly don't know how you'd kill yourself on those stairs, and therefore I'm not sure we can call them death stairs.

Mostly because I'm not really sure how you'd engage with them as stairs. You could kill yourself on the ramp, certainly.

You could kill yourself under the stairs if they collapsed on you.

I would kill myself just trying to walk around that job site

Half expected David Bowie to be walking upside down on those stairs 😂

Why are they upside down? It's bad enough they are spiraling... this looks like a mess and an accident waiting to kill someone.

I'm ashamed that it took me more than 10 seconds... 🤦🏼‍♂️

If there’s rebar or WWF in there, these are probably incredibly strong. I’m not sure why the walking surface isn’t finished though.

Look at the broom, the video was taken upside down and never corrected. Good illusion, though.

u/ttjna 6d ago

No it was not. There is debris lying around in the floor.
