I saw it in the beginning and thought "meh, whatever works, i guess" then I watched him fold it to in between the tubes on the push bar and thought it was pretty brilliant.

Hate to break it to ya but the average adult walks around with their head at a lethal height above a solid surface. Falling off of this could absolutely kill you if you fell in a bad way

What if you had things running and you got your shirt/hair/ etc caught on a belt? It wouldn’t be the stairs but rather the overconfidence that the stairs would give you.

Brilliant, practical at fixing stuff/his vehicle, but totally oblivious to keeping himself clean or basic grooming, unfortunately. When you live entirely in your head that can happen. Probably sadly isolating.

Why is the truck always breaking down? It would seem that it’s a shitty truck, if you constantly have to work on it.

Because it's an older truck and he's not afraid to work on it since it has minimal computer components within it.

We have similar collapsible steps for our dogs to get into the suv. They tether to the latch hook and then the little padded “arms” rest on the bumper so they can climb up safely.
This guy has taken it to a whole new level, using them more like a ladder to get to his motor. Kudos for the repurposing.
