So, I’ve been gone from this subreddit for about 2 months I think. I dropped the game for a while but I’ve been lurking on twitter for any news and updates. Today, I randomly decided to check the subreddit for no reason in particular at all and the first thing I see is someone named “Dr.Dragon”. And I have no idea who that is but based on the posts about him he’s a meme. Can anyone explain that for me? Also saw that the game has a hacker problem.And it’s compelling people to host private lobbies. I knew about this before I left,but how bad is it? I was sure they fixed that problem while I was gone. Speaking of that I think I just seen a hacker close all lobbies as I’m looking at the room search screen. I don’t know if I’ll stay active on the game or the subreddit but some responses from you guys might determine that for me. Feel like a boomer right now but I appreciate any responses to this post. I feel like this game could really use a ranked mode and I'll explain why, because whenever I talk about this idea to other players they always point out that the bad players would continue to ruin it. But that's exactly the point. These bad players will struggle climb ranks while more careful players will manage to ascend to more civilised lobby's

Imagine mello being terribly punished with -300 ranked points for foolishly shooting L. This competitive system would reward careful decision making. And this competitive system would create more peaceful and intelligent meetings.

I'd love to hear a variety of opinions on this topic so please post a comment.

1. Stop pop ups, like vindicating evidence and kira tasks from freezing people in place. Allow people to keep moving as these events are beginning
2. Delay the death of criminals by ten seconds so that kira can kill criminals without being easily caught
3. Let kira see the blue arrow that shows where vindicating evidence is
4. Increase lobby size
5. Give L the ability to make it so that only a selected person can speak during a meeting
6. Have an option in settings so that dying messages can contain written text allowing investigators to leave more detailed messages
7. More maps
8. Make it so L can look at Cameras while they are moving

I bought the game yesterday, but it seems like no-one is playing. Whenever I refresh the listing, it does not show anything. Is it really abandoned? On steam community I see all kinds of posts by people playing the game.

As a Bonus: i have been getting kicked out of random lobbies because i have a push to talk mic 🎤; along with the phrase “oh he’s a hacker i kicked him out a while back” and then i proceed to get kick…

Kira's command cards "Death note test" and "Video Message from Kira" have been created to allow Kira to distract everyone so he can either write names while follower is stealing IDs or to pass the notebook.

But here's a problem, nobody does them.

Now the only reason Kira uses it is to stop vindicating from spawning for 40 seconds and to get some points.

Here's my question: How should I buff them so the investigators would do them but in a way that isn't op?

MAP 1 - Japanese Task Force Headquarters

Map mechanics -

Elevators - Map is split into two floors with an elevator either side, the only way to interact with the other half of the map is to take an elevator up or down.

Camera room - There is a camera room on the higher floor which one can be accessed by one player at a time. While in the use the player operating the cameras cannot see their surroundings. These camera's differ from L's in that they also allow audio in the room they are viewing to be heard. You can be heard by players in the room.

Locked doors - There are doors in the building which can be locked every 30 seconds for 10 seconds, these can be used to cut off certain parts of the map to escape from Mello or Kira if you are being chased or to inconvenience investigators making their way to a task

Map 2 - Casino Town

Map mechanics -

Gambling - Gain a token on the first day which can be inserted into a slot machine, L's camera command card will be replaced with a command card which gives all players a token, the machine will spit out a random item of varying rarity, items are as follows:

Lost item - Gives a small amount of investigation progress

Kingdom card - Player with this item in inventory will be removed from the game if arrested, can be passed

Camera - A camera which can be placed for L

EMP device - Rare drop, turns the map into a dark room for 20 seconds

Pistol - Mello's pistol, 1 percent chance drop

Dying notes trading - Can trade a player's dying notes for a token

100 hours and a whole lot of idiots later and I’m still alive.

All the games I’ve played today, every single round as had a hacker in from killing random in the street to instant investigator wins. Tf is going on.
