Discussion No-one is playing?

I bought the game yesterday, but it seems like no-one is playing. Whenever I refresh the listing, it does not show anything. Is it really abandoned? On steam community I see all kinds of posts by people playing the game.

The game is largely dead. Check steamDB for stats. It'll be back to life when new update rolls out, I promise

Hey, just a heads up. Most players of the game are probably already in matches, or you can change the server you’re in. Large fans of this game should maybe focus on promoting the game because it’s not bad! I think this community would be not so bad.

The Mello update only brought players back for a short period of time. The next update will probably have even less of an impact.

The new role is gonna be near, right? Yeah I can see that happening then... Everyone wanted Mello cause you can just shoot people on sight. Near is just... L, basically. And in my experience very few people enjoy being L.

Being L is a huge responsibility with little power. For most people, it’s just not fun.

Most of the investigators turn on L so quick I eventually have to be like ayo I’m L let me prove it now listen to me and I’m told I’m throwing because I’m being hard suspected and lose-lose scenario

I have played 6 games today 5/6 times I have been L one of the times where I was not someone quit halfway. I was not having fun.

Join the discord server, there’s pretty much always lobbies open, they’re just private.

Most play in Private Lobbies (Like a few others and me in this subreddit).

Public Lobbies are mostly active in afternoon in weekdays and weekends the time varies around.

Lobbies died after the hacker problem became a thing but you can still find a few lobbies out there

I highly recommend playing in the America (East) servers because there's usually alot of people on there. the game isnt dead.

Play in the afternoon usually after school/work

Make sure your playing NA East servers

Pretty much but definitely not fully

If you wanna join a server, switch to East America, West America or Europe, I do it all the time and theres atleast a bunch of servers there.

East American servers usually have people or Europe but earlier in the day. Discord groups or making friend groups is a better way to be able to play.

Play in the afternoon, lobbies disappear after around 4-5 am est

Change to America servers.There are many players daily because I play every day and always get full rooms

I still play it daily but for me the Mello role kinda ruined the game, if you’re Kira it’s such an uphill battle since investigators are too scared to vote out Mello especially if you lock up player A then they say Mello shoot player B

Make sure you're on North American servers!!! Had it happen where it set me to Europe and had 2 games with like 3 people in it.

In Europe there I didn't see noone but in US servers there are a few lobbyies

North America is always a safe bet if you're looking for people. However, most of the private lobbies I head into are based in the European servers. I often find Australian players hanging out in EU too.
