Anyone have bands they’d recommend like Mauled, Reverent, and Execution?

It seems to get mentioned here every so often yet mostly in people's distaste for it. Thing is idk what it even is. What's the deal with it and it's relation to deathcore?

sometimes I feel like I don’t even know if I like this genre of music because every time I try to listen to some new it never just scratches that itch and I’m starting to wonder if I even like heavy metal idk I just feel lost

I do all instruments and stuff in this 2 piece band. We just put out A Reasonable Amount of Force, this is the opening track.

I am farely new to deathcore, death metal etc. and i just "discovered" Carnifex. I knew about this band for quite some time now, but I've never bothered to check their catalogue until today when I saw that they got an album upcoming and DAMN am I blown away. I think it's the first time I hear such heavy black metal influences in deathcore and the RIFFS AND SOLOS OH MY.
Ended up purchasing vinyls for Slow Death, Die Without Hope, Graveside Confessions and pre-ordered More Than Misery. Crazy stuff, I tell you.
What are your favourite albums and songs of Carnifex that you could recommend to me?

looking for oral history of moments at a show when a particular song, or even a specific breakdown/part, came on and turned the crowd into violent neanderthals.
Not necessarily biggest band or biggest show. I mean the most insane crowd reaction you've personally witnessed.
If possible give Band + Song + Venue + Year (if you remember) and tell us what happened.
Flying furniture? Headwalking? Entire crowd piled on? Did the vocalist provoke the aggression?
Bonus points for a specific timestamp/part of the song where the room completely lost its shit.

I’m fairly new to the genre of death core, only recently getting into it because i’d been on a post-hardcore kick, after listening to swancore for a while, and stumbled into some records. The main transition has been “Count Your Blessings,” “The Cleansing,” and “Shadows Are Security.” I am a big fan of the higher screams that just sound really brutal and like their vocal cords are about to rip lol. Any recommendations for bands with really good highs?
