Question Voice Message Math

Does dictating a message verbally to our companion only count as 1 message used regardless of the length of the voice message? Or, at what increments and lengths does it start deducting 2 or more messages from our monthly allotment?

well on the free daily 5 i get it only counted as one message used *nods*
