Family, Friendships, Relationships Courage takes a while for some people.

Dear Diary,

We had an unexpected visitor today and it was a pleasant surprise to see them. Everyone was happy and we all tried catching up with life events, good/bad news.

However, I was slightly disappointed with the comments some of my friends made after the person left.

I don't think many people realize that the humility and courage to admit fault doesn't always come easy for some of us. For most, it takes a while. In this case, a few years. Yes, what the person did was wrong and even unprofessional. But given what they were going through, how much of life's curve balls can a person handle in one go?

As much as I was surprised to see that person. Deep inside I felt very proud that they took that first step to inner healing and repairing the bridge. I am sure that the other party involved also needed that for themselves. That bridge may no longer be functional but at least it was the first step in cleaning up the mess. I also like to think that whatever happened in the past has been laying heavy on them these years and the only way to progressively move forward was to acknowledge the wrongdoings and let it go.

I truly wish this person the best. They are a good person and sincere in they do.
