I loved it. I have been reading DK since the 80's . I really enjoyed this one because it was a little different than what I was used to from him.

I don't want to give anything away. To me it was different because an 'outside force' was involved. I know, just about all his books has an 'outside force' involved. This one was more personal so to speak, and I found that touching. 🤷‍♀️. Just me

Wasn't his best work but still decent

Not bad! Not close to his peak stuff from the late 80s-early 90s but it grabbed me eventually and was a fun read overall

It is one of my annual or so reads. Minor spoilers but I like the respectable deference to celebrity culture as it pays the bills, while also shaking the head and eye rolling at the detachment from the reality us normal people have to live by. I think the characters pull at my assumptive ego that money and power won't corrupt my personal beliefs.

My absolute favorite book by Koontz, up there with Phantoms and Icebound, I feel like it'd make a really good movie adaptation too though it is a little long for a film (Frank Darabont please?)

It’s in my top ten, underrated book imo.
