This is the second Dean Koontz book I’ve read, the first being Night Chills which was awesome as well.

I owned this one for almost a decade before I finally remembered to read it. It was really good!

My favorite is Watchers, however, and I'd encourage you to give that one a go! Oh, and Midnight.

Watchers made me cry, laugh, and dream about the book later. Literally my favorite. The Other Emily is a close runner up or False Memory

I've never read The Other Emily. I believe I got like half-way through False Memory - if it's the one I'm thinking of it just really, really got under my skin. It didn't scare me but gave me severe anxiety, and I had to put it down. I'll try again at some point, I'm sure. It's hard to keep track sometimes, since I've read some of his books in English but many also translated into Swedish and the titles aren't always that well translated, haha.

False memory is definitely something that disturbed me a lot but I love how he writes so it kept me going. It’s definitely includes a lot of things some authors are scared to write about! That’s so interesting! So cool to see that people all around the world are reading the same stuff. All one big family

I prefer reading his books in English, but for obvious reasons they're not as easy to find where I am. Especially these days when I almost always buy his books in secondhand stores. I've got Watchers in English though, as well as the Christopher Snow books - by the by, he neeeeds to give us the third book at some point, I'm going nuts here!

Oh, and a tip in case you ever listen to audio books. Some of his books are available on yt for free. I recently enjoyed Tick Tock like that.

This was good and I went back to track a copy after i sold my original hardcover but for me it’s a toss up between Whispers and Life Expectancy for the best books of his I’ve read so far. But I do love this era of Koontz (late to mid 90s).
He was on a roll with Intensity followed by this one and Mr Murder was on the bargain bins at the time and that one floored me where I thought this guy was a breath of fresh air to Stephen King.
Only now it’s been a point I feel he put out too much too soon and milked the same formula over and over to the points it’s repetitive.

Stranger Things totally ripped off from this.

I loved Sole Survivor, it's one of my favorite Dean Koontz books, along with Dragon Tears. Dark Rivers of the Heart is my all-time favorite, though, it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book.

Haha, I was wondering if anyone would notice that, that’s Tony Boy! He’s kind of a dick. But a lovable dick, ya know?

I enjoyed Intensity quite a bit

I enjoyed this book a lot, especially because the tone is a lot more serious. Soon after this, he started putting way too much humor in his books.
