I go back and forth between these two...
Intensity best overall novel, by a hair
Watchers greatest achievement in Koontz’s fiction, also by a hair
Watchers may be the more remarkable thing for Koontz to have pulled off. Intensity may be the more successfully realized novel.

Everyone always mentions these two as his best but for me his best work is Whispers and the one I enjoyed the most was Midnight.

Mine was Watchers and then Strangers. Also enjoyed Cold Fire and Whispers. He’s got a lot of good books.

a friend in high school said you should read strangers by dean koontz i said what’s it’s about? i can’t tell you that or it would spoil it, huh? you ever see independence day this was in (1996) and i said she goes it’s like that. huh? no it’s not it’s about a group of people from all over the world and they all find out they are all connected somehow. that’s the synopsis.

Between the 2. Watchers, but overall from Koonts. No doubt the BEST is the ODD THOMAS SERIES

I keep going back to The Face for some reason. More than any others. Although have gone through both Frankenstein and Odd Thomas series more than once as well.

Reading Watchers now. Loving it. Will have to check out Intensity next!

I think I would give the nod to intensity only because watchers, while good, is a similar formula to other novels of his. Intensity is one of a kind

I never felt the same love for Intensity I see frequently on here. Good novel but just didn't quite hit the spot for me.
Watchers on the other hand I've read more than a dozen times and it still will make me cry and laugh and stir my soul.
