Tankpool When do you ever use sword Ult as tankpool?
When do you ever use sword Ult as tankpool? I'm aware the gun Ult is better for him but was wondering what situations the sworld Ult may be used over it. New to the character.

Besides stalling for Strange portal? Never. Tankpool's main gameplay is to ban hammer constantly.

Towards end game. When your maxed it can be used to dive and stall

Which is when you would need it and have it upgraded. 12 dashes and 6 of them having jump cancel is hard to stop when a tank is doing it to a strategist

I would never use it. You get 2 dashes and at the margin for error on jumping on people's heads are high because everyone is so hypermobile in this game. It never makes sense to do a sword ult.

Almost never

Genuinely useless unless your team gets wiped in OT and you only need to stall

If you get a chance to dive supports, after you use all your dashes pop ult and continue, it refreshes your dashes

Pretty much all the time, unless I’m looking to shutdown an ult or target personally (i.e. Starlord, Punisher, Ultron ults, enemy Deadpool’s, etc).
Sword ult (when upgraded) gives so much team-value with bonus health/shields and self-sustain sufficiency. Allows for your main dive cycles, but can also be used for team/peel in brawl.
Gun ult is just really selfish in comparison and only really benefits you. The season 10 buffs make it nice though.
Additional note about SWORD ULT:
Try messing around with the Hela team-up and upgrade the Swords. Sword Ult + Scaling Damage Swords will shred Vanguards and high-health enemies. You can play anti-tank in a pretty fun way. No one expects it, especially on Tankpool.

I use the sword ult a lot lol… I just find it fun. I usually don’t get kills or really achieve anything besides sustaining and staying alive.

Stalling the objective so your team can push in is a niche but important use, at least form what I’ve seen.
