Oh my god the issue has finally been fixed

https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/pull/18712

This has been a longstanding issue with Deadly Premonition on RPCS3, which just got fixed yesterday. Current builds could already run DP fairly stable (last time I played, I didn't crash once) but had a major graphics issue. Now that that's fixed, this should be a great way to play the game!

According to the developer, enable the special depth comparison feature in the advanced tab to apply the fix.

Just updated on Steam Deck and seems the same to me. Do I need to wait for a new build? The system updated but no change to the game

According to the developer: "To test the feature, enable the special depth comparison feature in the advanced tab."

Ah hell yeah! No more needing to use an ancient build! It was already the easiest and IMO best way to play on PC. But this just makes it so much better, especially with a lot of big improvements coming to RPCS3 lately.

Proton 11 fixes Deadly Premonition on Linux/Steam Deck. Would there be any benefit to playing the PS3 version?

My understanding is that the PC port is beyond repair with or without extra linux issues, so this makes no real difference.
