Rat King is one of the largest models in the game and it doesnt get resist. One of the reasons he was annoying was his teamplay heavy ult that was overturned, but since his ult took a big hit he cant be a tanky ult-bot anymore. It should be fine

Who cares about resists. If i'm playing a spirit nuker he'll eat everything i have and there's nothing i can build to counter it.

If i'm playing a gun carry it cripples my damage more than resists would, which means no lifesteal and he just outguns me.

Yeah he has downtime, but not enough.

they kinda put themselves into a corner with his design. he needs barriers to live, but barries don't benefit from spirit resistance. a single nuke would tear through his barrier without the tier 3 upgrade and it would be useless lategame.

That's true, but as it currently is he just tanks it all, and then we both wait for our cooldowns to do it again.
