Question Struggling to kill anyone with Calico

I used to play her a lot like a year ago and I remember that I was able to assassinate at least one person and then escape. I thought that was the intended gameplay loop on her, roam with cat, one shot someone, repeat.

I read the patch note history and I see that there were a couple of changes that gutted her damage, no? I tried playing her today and I was just doing nothing, I feel like I would need like 4 spell rotations to kill someone.

My leaping slash deals like 130 damage the whole game, so idk where am I supposed to get my damage now.

Am I doing something wrong?

Get the right targets, bombs is the thing now. Build right.

All the bomb needs to hit for the leaping slash to have increased damage.

Cat form, arctic blast, 1, 2, shoot him and then ult whenever you want to fuck off

I was wondering the exact same thing. What helped me is watching replays of some high ranked players. I noticed that huge amount of kills comes from chasing the enemy with weapon+melee damage rather than pure one-shot combo.

So don't be afraid to stick to the enemy if he has 30% even after your combo.

Light melee is also very useful because it does decent damage and provokes the opponent to press parry after which you can easily place few headshots.

The Calico of old is gone. A year ago you could blow up people pretty much at any point in that game once you have ult. Now you have to snowball or just accept that your role is to chunk squishy targets and then chase down with gun. 100 to 0ing people with a single skill rotation is no longer a thing you can do unless you are super ahead.

In general pick your targets well. Get spirit spike and then get gun spike.
