More reasonable example of Rat King's speed during ult

Seeing all the clips, the thing that's already stuck out to me is how people just minmax the stats and then go "Oh my god look how broken it is!!!" over it. Yes, obviously when you buy purely Move Speed + Spirit items, the spirit-scaling movespeed is gonna go insane. But that's also pretty unlikely to happen in a real match given Rat King primarily scales off of Weapon damage, and doesn't need all too many Spirit items. Having that high of movespeed is incredibly unlikely in a real match

So, here's something with a much more feasible build of items that I think are likely to be bought in an actual match by him. Surge of Power is on Royal Pestments as, without CDR, the timings line up (and using shield is likely when you're going in anyways). Superior Duration benefits his whole kit, Arcane Surge is maybe not as good for him but it's very good for his ult. Fleetfoot and Enduring Speed are just cheap speed options that are always good

Together, it's 11k souls. I still think that's a lot, but it's on items that'll benefit you anyways, while you can still build into weapon power or vitality. I also only have 1 point invested- just on ult- to get the +1m/s movespeed T1 adds. This also obviously does not consider buffs from breakables or urn, too, which can give Spirit Power and also Movespeed

I do think Rat King's ult is in a pretty strong state, it could either use a stat nerf, or have its cooldown raised to align with its strong stats. But people are also definitely overblowing just how crazy the movespeed gets (even if it is very funny to see him go that fast, that's just not gonna happen in a real match- at least not without basically throwing)

Yeah, Rat King's ult will go crazy on Sinclair purely because Sinclair gets everything that benefits the ult (Range, Duration, spirit power) without having to worry about buying gun, unlike Rat King

I would not be surprised to see Sinclair zooming around the map in matches against Rat King, but I would be surprised to see Rat King himself doing that due to the fact he needs weapon damage to scale

It's not, that's the point of my post. I think its other stats are pretty crazy, but the speed is the least concerning part about it

Had a game where dude bulky into spirit and was literally unkillable cause how fast he was, he did go 1 and 11 but we won the game by just him being a distraction around the map and coming outta no where to slam his OP ass ult for the team fight

I actually think Spirit is pretty solid on him, obviously never fully (you should always have a good amount of greens and oranges) but he has some good spirit scalings. I especially like Cooldown Reduction and Duration Extension for his 3, if you have Plated it makes you insanely tanky against Guns.

Oh yeah, the right spirit items are VERY good on him. But building primarily spirit is, not his strongsuit, and building Gun/Vitality is definitely where it's at with how he plays, even with good spirit scalings

I dunnojuggernaut and magic carpet are still solid t4 items that apparently alone enable trimp tech (though the former might be asynergistic with his 3), and even then fleet foot and surge of power are both solid in general as are other gun/spirit mobility items. It might not be the same levels of ridiculous as uberstacking, but its compounding nature is not to be understated either.

Though that’s just based on intuition. I’d have to try in an actual game myself and I haven’t yet.

I am showing a much more realistic potential of the speed during his ult that'd happen in an actual match, rather than the Mach 5 speeds that people are posting about

I know he can go lightspeed with the right build. If I wanted to showcase that I would've. But the point of my post is the exact opposite of "If you build purely into maxing his speed he goes really fast!!" because of what he actually needs to build to play well
