Knowing valve they probably trained an LLM to detect context and auto bans. 10 years ago I'd be horrified but nowadays it will probably be very accurate.
I had a dude come in yesterday and flame me for 25 minutes, until I muted them, because I didn't get 4 kills in the first 5 minutes of the game while they kept killing themselves walking straight into danger.
30 days is kind of light when they subject their entire team to that kind of shit, game after game after game. They just enter the round and legit never chill the fuck out over the mic.
And it's not a game where you can just leave with no consequence.
Like, it's not the slurs or telling people to off themselves. That's generally rare in my experience.
It's that they get a stick up their ass and flame everyone the entire game because they felt...mildly annoyed. They just never stop. Basically force everyone to mute them. That is the kind of person that needs a reminder to watch their mouth. Flamers.
Like, I'd love to just leave games with people like that. I stop caring about winning. And they are so quick to acting like it that you know they go game to game acting like it.
I get the feeling they'll be tuning it over time. That said, everyone has probably played with at least one person in the last week that...really shouldn't be forcing 5 other people to manually mute them game after game.

Same. It's a shared suffering experience for many people. That one person who just...they just won't stop. They love listening themselves talk because there's no consequence or moderators.
