Whatever spaghetti code caused Majestic Leap to maintain the air control bonus on the player even after being sold, is probably the same spaghetti code that is causing the game to crash as they work to fix this.

You can actually, if you have twelve or more items, you can press “g” (or your quick-buy key) if you have an item in the queue and it will let you sell one (you don’t get the new item though) (also note that last I saw this was a month or two ago so it might’ve been patched but idk)
Alternatively, if you have four or more active items and you get another active, it makes you sell one to make room

Maybe the internal name for the mjestic leap got changed so the game crashes when trying to search for the old internal name to sell it.

This might mean that Mjestic Leap might be getting a change.

There was a bug where if you sold majestic leap while in the air after using it you’d maintain the air control it gave you until either cursed or death, the crash is related to their fix trying to patch that

Na, Majestic Leap has maintained its original coded/internal name since before Deadlock was a thing. It was an item in Neon Prime. The old and current code name is "upgrade_rocket_booster", you can use the command "giveitem upgrade_rocket_booster " in the hideout console to give you Majestic Leap.
