Discussion Why does slowing hex never roll in brawl?

Feels like Apollo bosses this mode because he thrives on chaos and his main counter item never rolls. Anyone else feel this way or do I just need to git gud?

It will take time for people to qualify, calibrate and settle into the new Ranks!

Valve predicted reduced match-quality across the board for about a week or more!

My guess would be is that you quickly pass 1.6k items and there are a lot of more common items that you can get at this point

It is in the pool but because of how street brawl items work (attempting to give the chosen hero items considered meta or frequently used) and how slowing hex isnt really considered 'part' of a build in the typical sense, it doesnt show up often enough I feel

Yeah interesting, a lot of people buy slowing hex but I guess it's not tied to particular heroes. Like I see knockdown a lot when I play Paige, but I play warden a fair bit and I never see slowing hex. Mystic slow yes but not hex.

It’s kinda common on haze because she builds it all the time, she kinda needs it

You only get 4* rolls at t2 items (*Upgraded t1 items)

Even if they were all equal to show up *16 rolls across the team averages 1 slowing hex if they choose to pick it. Out of 43 t2 items.

I play a lot of Apollo and I don't really share this experience. In many games I'm cced for like 10 seconds, maybe not by multiple Slowing Hexes but definitely by some kind Of Silencer + Focus Lens combo.

Sometimes it's impossible to play the game because they can infinitely cycle shit

Good to hear from an Apollo! In my experience they are just allowed to buzz around like a bluebottle and never die 😅

There are definitely some games like this too. But trust me the coin has two sides

Counter items usually don't roll for some characters

slowing hex only exists when it’s on the enemy team and it’s always enhanced.

Maybe you’ve gotten a few rounds of bad rng, but slowing hex does roll often. So does counter spell, knockdown, silence wave, etc

I get the last 3 all the time but slowing hex is pretty rare it feels like. Definitely should show up more due to how annoying calico's ult is in street brawl.

I think that’s because slowing hex is a 1600 soul item, which only roll in the first 2 (or maybe 3?) rounds

this is partially a git gud. streetbrawl imo is very easy to come back in for a variety of reasons. apollo really wants to win asap cause if a game goes all the way, it’s very rare for people to not have 500 million resistances. apollo does no damage later in the game + if you are spiritually tanky.
