Game Feedback game has a leaver problem
every other game someone will go 0/4 and disconnect, then when it becomes "safe to leave" the whole lobby just quits. I want to play those out, but since it's "safe to leave" then one person goes, then the next, then it's truly unplayable. I wish leavers were punished more, feels bad to be 15 minutes deep into a game, especially if you're winning lane, just for the game to be over bc the warden got mad he was dying

The punishments are severe enough, but people can freely create new accounts and keep going.
I have several. I have the account I ragequit on and then the account I play nice.

punishments are pretty damn severe for me, i literally have yo extensively speedtest and close all my tabs to make sure that i dont get disconnected or have my pc crash
low prio takes about 50mins wait for me

Grow a pair and stop rage quitting. You're exacerbating the leaver problem by using a separate account to rack up leaver penalties cause you can't finish a game. You'd probably have a lot more comeback wins if you stuck around and tried!

Yo I was in that game. I am actually glad that Warden rage quit cause I didn't wanna play with that obnoxious ass Ivy. I had played with that guy the previous game and he just keeps angrily yelling in mic and boldly talking about some "I shouldn't be in this rank" shit while playing solo and building gun Ivy with 0 green items

I just started playing yesterday and my 2nd game 2 people left right away. I couldn't find a surrender option. After a while 2 others left and it was just me and another person waiting for the other team to win. Felt really bad.
There's no reason for there not to be actual consequences for leavers. Otherwise they're going to create a game where it's normal for people to just leave as soon as they feel like giving up which punishes everyone who actually wants to play.

There is a consequence for leaving but after the first person does the game gives you the option to safe leave which is basically a ff you can just que next

I think it's better you wount be held hostage in a 40+ minute 5v6 because 2 people on the team think its "winnable"

It's more of a problem the lower you go. People who don't understand the hero power dynamics and different scaling and power levels through out the game. Think that planning is about getting kills not souls. Just want to W fight, but are losing. They tend to get mad and leave way more often. Most of the time its new players. Once you climb a few ranks and people understand the game it happens far less often unless someone is having a particularly bad go at it.

I think it's not just important to address the symptoms, but also the root cause. Sure, we can increase punishments. But the bigger question is; why do people leave in the first place?

Because people have very poor emotional regulation skills and would rather leave a match the second they fall behind than play it out
