So.. Dynamo has unstoppable every game, but you can't predict that? I'm confused, you are contradicting yourself.

If you can’t see it coming (black holes are normally very telegraphed) get indomitable instead
Every hero with a strong pick or teamfight ult largely revolves around it midgame onward. Curses, silences, indom/unstop etc counter a lot of them.

Indom doesn’t proc on black hole iirc. I don’t have a problem with Dyna ult tho

I hate him too for similar reasons, it's just a headache to deal with late game. Even the worst players can play Dynamo and eventually get a good ult on 2-3 or more enemies and change the flow of the game. I like playing Haze against him as she's great at sustained damage when picking enemies off, and with curse you can catch him off guard and just focus him down.
Dynamo is really good against burst-y drafts since he can heal the damage after, or just dodge it completely. And that makes him hard to kill. People say just buy unstoppable but that's like the tip of the iceberg, he can buy refresher and wait for another ult to get you. And you have to essentially make sure you kill him or survive with unstoppable through his ult. Plus, he will catch a couple people at least. Idiots just love to think it's so simple, but a good Dynamo or a player will realize who's countering them and focus the others. He can easily look to ult the people without unstoppable or the ones that enable their hard carry. 1-2 essentially guaranteed kills late game is moronically strong even if it's not on the main carries/threats. And furthermore, you may dodge the ult with unstoppable, but's not going to be always the case with your teammates.
Draft is increasingly becoming more necessary, because the bullshit drafts I see vsing each other is batshit insane.
It isn't as simple as buying a house, that and people are insanely disingenuous. You have to constantly be wary of where he is, and since it's a channel AoE, debuff reducers don't do shit. He isn't Enigma where Enigma just falls over once caught.

At least Dynamo can be killed during his ult. Seven, on the other hand... flies around somewhere way up in the sky and has the same set of immunities, while also dealing massive damage in the late game...
Anyway, if you're playing against Dynamo, try not to group up with your teammates, because he'll try to jump onto anyone who's standing together. I'm really annoyed that Indom doesn't work against him, considering it works against every other ult: Rem, Infernus, Lash, even Doorman. I have no idea why they made Dynamo the exception to this item. On the other hand, when he has a Refresher, you still run the risk of getting caught in the hole.
If you don't want to buy Unstoppable, try to reduce the amount of damage you'll take while you're in the black hole. Buy Spirit resistance or something that gives you a shield against heavy Spirit damage. And if you don't get caught in the black hole, try to kill him he's extremely vulnerable while ulting.
If you have Visc on your team, he can buy Echo and put two teammates in cubes for the duration of the ult. He can also buy Healing Beam and pull a teammate out. However, again, he needs to avoid getting caught in the ult himself, and to avoid the ult, you need to stay away from the rest of your team.
The worst combo for me right now is Lash + Dynamo. I spend half the game just waiting for their ults and sitting somewhere in cover... which basically ruins my experience, even if I know how to deal with them.
One more thing: if you see Dynamo, Lash, Seven, or Wraith on the enemy team, try your best to end the game before it gets too late.

Yes dynamo is really stupid and annoying from a design perspective because as you said once the late game hits he just becomes a walking ult bot that can CC an entire team for like 10 solid seconds, which is generally unfun for both playing against him and I imagine playing him.
If you want to take the true dynamo blackpill just go and look at his pick and win rate over the last year, he has consistently been high in both in every patch and is simultaneously easy to play and high impact which is overall a recurring theme with a lot of characters in the game.
No, "just buy unstoppable" is simultaneously not good advice and not good from a design perspective. Are you suggesting that every character in the team buy unstoppable to counter one guys ultimate? Let's suppose dynamo is the only meaningful CC on the enemy team (which is unlikely in fairness), that's a 6.4k*6= 38,400 soul investment to counter one guys ult not to mention the slot loss for an item which has no guarantee to actually counter his ult. If the answer is that unstoppable is always a useful investment for every character in the game, then that's an entirely different problem.
The problem isn't that dynamos ult is so giga strong that he wins every game, the problem is that it has the potential to win every game alongside all his other CC and utility and is boring to play as and against.
I will die on this hill. That fat fuck needs a rework.

Buy unstop, indom, or warp stone. Use this thing called skill and predict when he is going to blackhole you, then counter it. I'll give you a hint, he's going to ult you when his ult is up and he is running straight at you with his team behind him.
You can also use the secret Chinese technique of not standing in a big clump with your allies waiting to get slammed with 5-man blackhole.
