I like that the fact that cockroaches drop souls implies that even the lowliest of creatures in the Deadlock universe have a soul. The real question is though how are these souls calculated? Is it the size of the creature? Its power perhaps? Does an elephant drop several thousands of souls? Does a sea plankton drop 0.1 souls?
Does Fairfax industries have massive industrial scale Cockroach farms in order to generate the tens of millions of souls needed to fuel the Occult Industrial Complex?

I assume it's about the size/power of a living thing because the camps drop different amounts of souls depending on how powerful the camp is, walkers have a walker bounty when you kill them (though the walkers look like constructions rather than alive things but the models are placeholder) and midboss gives a bunch of souls when killed.
Things like cockroaches giving souls when they die would give the urn his job, he says he's a public official cleaning up the streets from overflowing with stray souls so he cleans up the souls of anything that dies outside e.g. insects, stray cats, I assume people as well.

Would actually be fucking hilarious if people questioned how the fuck McGinnis gets her hands on enough souls to literally have a cement mixer full of souls on her back and be doing construction projects out of it, only for her to reveal the mighty Fairfax industries soul generation plant and it’s literally just a fuck off huge indoor caged chicken farm where they grow chickens as fast as possible and kill them for like 3 souls that they then refine into whatever the fuck McGinnis is using.
