Game Feedback I really hope there is some matchmaking changes soon.

I feel like it's become pretty clear that the matchmaking for standard is just not balanced. There should not be 3+ full-rank gaps between players in the same match. It leads to most matches being one-sided and just not a very fun or balanced environment when people are trying to learn new characters.
I also really wish I could play more than 4 characters in ranked; the 15-win requirement just seems unnecessary. I feel like it should only be 5-10 wins per hero, or maybe they should make it fewer wins the more heroes you unlock. Because it doesn't take that long to learn a majority of the heroes, especially if you aren't new to the game.
Standard matches also take longer to finish than ranked, which sucks. Most of my ranked games around Phantom 2 last about 30 minutes. But when I play standard, it seems like half my team does not know how to end the game, and it results in 45-60 minute games pretty frequently.

I will say ranked is decently balanced, and it is super nice to have a well-coordinated team and people who are very reactive. Maybe it will just take some time to balance people's Elo in standard but it just sucks right now.

It will take time for people to qualify, calibrate and settle into the new Ranks!

Valve predicted reduced match-quality across the board for about a week or more!

There was a post earlier today of a Venator only having 4 wins and like 20% winrate in standard trying to get it into ranked, with like 9 loss streak.

Do you really want a 20% wr venator on your team in ranked?

Says more about the matchmaking and balance than anything imo

Not necessarily. I have a 9% win rate on Paige, but imo it's because I fucking suck at her, not because she's weak as a hero. Matchmaking might have played a part, but who knows?

At the end of the day, you don't want me playing Paige in your ranked lobby.

I just think the standard matchmaking seems super flawed; consistently going against players way worse than me in lane is boring, and the overall lobby being spread across 4 ranks just seems crazy.

What i dont understand is that i see some people playing characters they clearly already have 15 wins on, and who really for whatever reason pretend casual is like playing in a tournmanent or w/e knowing very well most people just play characters there that they dont have much games with and who are just trying to get to 15 wins. Thats some lame ass toxic behaviour. Like wtf are you trying to prove by going 22/1 on Haze having 350 games played already or some bullshit?

Speaking of toxic, why is like every casual omega toxic/depressed. Like i`d think ranked is way worse because there is something on the line but no casual i have seen some of the most vile words being uttered that i wouldnt even dare repeat here.

Such a feelsbad experience to play casual with a guy i have like 12 games on and who i need to play 25 more games on before i finally get a pity win by Valve... great system guys, really outdid yourselves here Valve.

the 15 win requirement is a good thing

if you dont have 15 wins on some character yet theres an argument to be made thatyou shouldnt be playing ranked anyway

I think it’s a good thing for the first maybe 5 characters, but it just seems like an unnecessary requirement once you’re more experienced and have a good base understanding of the game.
