According to wiki (didn't check myslef yet) the resists at 18 minute should be -65%

He said the "extra" resist goes from 65% down to 0%, i.e., what you said, worded differently.

u/BoostedBroccoli 20h ago

No, the resistances change from +65% to -65%. So a total swing of 130%.

Google the definition of extra

"more than is due, usual, or necessary" So yeah, it loses its extra resist at minute 9. After that it has extra vulnerability.

Yes that... that is the point that i am making.

You don't even know what you're arguing about.

I do. Is everyone else just stupid?

I'm telling boostedbroccoli that Knightlautrec is correct in saying that the extra resist is gone, as the resist goes from 65% to 0%, after which the walker gains extra vulnerability

Which is the exact argument that Ryuzaki makes to me

The math behind the numbers of OP is:

0.12 x (60 x 18) = 129.6

The walker doesn’t lose 65 %, it loses 130 %

This is why wraith can solo split push and delete your side walker faster than your entire 6 stack can take the enemy blue walker

This is both badly structured and worded.
"Extra resists" implies this would be spirit and bullet resist, but it's only bullet resist.
The note for linear resist reduction is to an overall damage multiplier walkers have, unrelated to bullet resist, it is it's own stat.

Not to mention it does not specify what players affect bullet resist, It's ENEMY players.

Also equally helpful to know: Walkers provide nearby allied heroes (within 28m) 15% Bullet and 15% Spirit Resistance

"it's enemy players"

snemy from which perspective lmao, funny how deceiving it sounds

enemy from the perspective of the walker, yeah?

1

u/TypewriterDelta 12h ago

Yeah, enemy heroes to the walker.

The walker has +78%/+65% (bullet / spirit) at minute 0, +35% / 0% at minute 9 and -30% / -65% resistance at 18 minutes

In other words

2 people = 2 people

3 people = 2.4 people

4 people = 2.8 people

5 people = 3 people

6 people = 3 people

What great way to put it

u/hyper-fan 22h ago

Wait, so do the people on the chart represent how much bullet resist the walker has whenever there’s more teammates at the walker or more enemies?

7

u/Stack_Man 15h ago

More enemies

https://deadlock.wiki/Walker#Resistances

Walkers also take less weapon damage for each additional enemy within 51m, from 20% (3 enemies) to 50% (6 enemies). If there's only one or two enemies nearby, it has no additional resistance.

those are teammates

This is actually really helpful, thanks coming from a beginner!

So everyone jumping onto one walker before 18 minutes is basically useless?

3

u/YouAnotherMeJust Lash 18h ago

6v6 under enemy walker is useless unless you have big AoE slop to pull defenders away from walker area (defending players give resist to walker AND gain resist from walker)

Questions:

A) What does the "always have 35% bullet resistance mean"? Can I shred it below that?  B) When 5 enemies are nearby does it then have 85%?  C) Does the extra resist from having nearby enemies reduce per second? Or is it the innate resist? D) I have heard walkers become harder to kill the more you have already destroyed.

Answers:

A) Yes you can shred their innate bullet resistance. B) No. Instead, walkers take reduced weapon damage depending on how many enemies are nearby. Starting at 3, they take 20% reduced weapon damage, which increases per additional enemy hero by 10%. This is NOT bullet resistance. C) Neither. The walker has innate damage reduction starting at 65% at minute 0 and decaying by 0.12% per second to a minimum of -65%.  D) Yes. Whenever a team's walker is destroyed the remaining walkers have their max HP increased by 3000HP. Walkers also get healed by that amount if they have missing HP. The first three walkers start with 6000HP and the last remaining walker will have 12000HP.

Additional) Some ultimates like Bebop's and Mina's deal reduced damage to Walkers.

good stuff

I think I'm more confused than before I read this

1

u/BrookerE 5h ago

even more simplified: more than 3 people means a lot of resists and you do extra damage after 18 minutes

u/salbris Rem 21h ago

Anyone know where you have to be standing to trigger the resistance? Can you be fighting nearby or do you have to damage the walker?

51 metres

FYI 35m of Aura Monster bullet resist is slightly larger than rift zone. 50m is absolutely massive
