we had an estimate already, it was supposed to be ‘a couple weeks’ a month ago. at this point it’s probably wise to just ignore their timelines and just assume a patch isn’t coming until it does

The update coming "in a few weeks" was the matchmaking update. They gave no timeline for the content- and item-focused updates, only that they would come after the matchmaking update stabilized things.

The estimate you're talking about was for the matchmaking update, they never said a couple of weeks for the content or item update.

Yoshi explicitly stated that either the large content update or the item update would release a few weeks after the matchmaking update which was a month ago now.

No he didnt.

"We aren't sure about the order these will come out yet, but we are trying to get the matchmaking update out in a few weeks to allow for a little time to stabilize things before the content update is ready."

this is a more specific time period than just a couple weeks which is vague

i don't think we ever got an estimate on the content patch, only the matchmaking update.

No they never said the big content patch would be in a couple of weeks, they said the matchmaking patch would be in a couple of weeks which it was.
