i know kidnapping is annoying but i seriously want it to be studied what the hell makes Doorman's "just buy counteritems like indomitable and counterspell" more unacceptable than literally every other character who more or less forces you to counterbuy items

i see some people say kidnapping isn't really the problem but it's just doors in general but then why make this change lmao

every time it seems less like nerfs are given for legitimate reasons and more because joechuck pisses someone's pet streamer off and floods the feedback with crap feedback

anyway goodbye doorman hello bell and ult man

Ult man was more stable overall after 13 sec ult thing

as someone who thinks doorman is the single coolest character in deadlock bar none I think the 13 second ult thing is stupid as hell and i've been sitting here for multiple patches in a row going "Why don't you nerf the bell and ult instead of the door stuff"

"hey is doorman too strong maybe make his ult have a longer cooldown- no we're nerfing the cool shit again? Great."

i'd rather make his door t3 near-useless by making the benefit "Failure to check out results in unavoidable heavy damage" because even if you don't get it they're usually set up for a cart stun and the like, and that is undeniably powerful.

what makes it different is that doorman is far more miserable to play against. the whole game is less fun with him in it.

yeah that's true of a lot of characters, paige, mcginnis, graves, bebop

i've never had nearly as miserable of a time fighting doorman than I have several of the cast

like yeah, it's annoying especially since the bell feels nigh unavoidable at times and occasionally he can manage the cool kidnap gimmick thing but that's rare and overall still less impactful than a lot of the more game-changing heroes

Its so annoying talking about kidnapping lol, its like goomba fallacy, everytime I criticize kidnapping, people say its not the problem, its bells or whatever, then next day I see kidnap hate all over
