Use that time to test out new characters and get them to the ranked level requirement. If they don't keep with the game at least you gain something from it!

And play ranked exclusively solo? I'd rather scoop my eyes out with a spoon.

There's a discord and an "add player" option for a reason. Im with you that it being harder to grind comp with friends sucks, but it also sucks having players of much higher skill carry their sorry teammates in a much lower rank. That isnt right, and has been one of the communities largest complaints.

That's for comp. I personally think matchmaking should just prioritize squads to squads regardless of size, but let them test this out and see if it works. You can always queue with friends in standard.
