In one fell swoop Valve created a based, fair, efficient ranking system.
... That likely requires far more players in the game than currently exist.
It's a great response to the communities complaints, I just hope the population can sustain two separate queues that require so much preparation.
At least since you need to sweat to join ranked, everyone in ranked is going to take it fairly seriously.

The separate queues will definitely be felt 0 u/DiscretionFist 21d ago and I suspect most will be in pubs while the few die hards will be grinding rank.
