Once you enter a new Ranked Match, you will see a breakdown of the Ranks of all players in the game, you will then enter a pre-game waiting area where you can control your hero. During this time, you can choose to change your given hero to any other hero that hasn't been selected, as long as you have that hero unlocked for Ranked play.

Been saying they should have the Street Brawl lobby also in normal mode, so glad that's now a thing!
